Abstract
Examining the Haram Timeframes in Islamic Jurisprudence
Abstract: This article deals with certain timeframes that are considered haram, one of the categories under Islamic jurisprudence. In the article, the stage is set with a brief introduction of the haram. Following this, the author proceeds to address the periods of time that are defined as haram / makruh. The study classifies the subject cases under five headings and the subject cases are tackled with reference to madhab imams’ views and their rationales. The author presents his evaluations in every chapter with probable reasons and the rationale behind them being highlighted. Finally, the data collected through the study is revisited in the evaluation chapter in which the author strives to determine the possible outcomes.
