Abstract
Europian Qur’an Translations(1500-1700)
This here translated article of Prof. Thomas E. Burman, gives the reader an overview on the first Qur’an Translations in the XVI. and XVII. centuries in Europe, which are important in terms of introducing the holy book of Muslims to Europe. This study includes informations and analysis on Latin- and vernacular translations of the Qur’an in a chronology and context -considering the impact of each of them on the further translations- inspiring the reasearchers and offering them further studies on this topic.
